The interpretive systems

Human Design

Where it comes from. From the experience of a single man, the Canadian Alan Krakower, known as Ra Uru Hu. He said he received its content over eight days, on Ibiza, in January 1987, and taught it until his death in 2011. The system is therefore contemporary, and its origin is an account of transmission, not research. What it brings together, however, is ancient: the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching, astrology, the Tree of Life of the Kabbalah and the chakras of India. The whole is phrased in a vocabulary borrowed from genetics.

What it draws on. The date, time and place of birth, calculated twice. Once at the moment of birth: the conscious, what the person recognizes in themselves. Once about three months earlier: the unconscious, what the body does without having decided to. The result is the Bodygraph: nine centers, defined or open, linked by 36 channels and 64 gates.

What it is for. To tell how the character commits their energy and how they make sound decisions. The Type gives the Strategy, the Authority the way to decide, and the open centers the places where they absorb the climate of others. It thus points to the wisest use of their resources in relationships: when to commit, when to wait, when to withdraw. The day's transit, laid over the Bodygraph, sheds light on the energy of the moment.

No scientific validation, and the genetic vocabulary is an image. The system presents itself as an experiment to carry out on oneself, not as a belief.
