A book to keep in hand

Enchira comes from the Greek encheiridion, literally “what is held in the hand.” The word meant the pocket handbook you carry everywhere, but also the dagger you keep at your belt, ready to use.

This double meaning is telling: a handbook is both a practical everyday tool and an inner weapon for difficult moments.

The most famous is the Handbook of Epictetus, written down by his disciple Arrian in the 2nd century. Our books were born from the same intention: to offer you a handbook that resembles you, to keep close at hand.

A very old intuition

Enchira was born in January 2026, from a moment of inspiration rather than a carefully planned project.

We then looked for this intuition in books and along various spiritual paths. Under different names, we found it almost everywhere.

In India, the Brahma Sutra compares creation to lila, the play of a king who plays without seeking to win anything. In Greece, Heraclitus writes: “Time is a child playing, moving pieces on a board.”

Epictetus draws a rule of life from it: “Remember that you are an actor in a play, whose part the author has chosen. […] Your business is to play well the character assigned to you; to choose it belongs to another.” (Handbook, chapter 17)

Fifteen centuries later, Shakespeare says it again on stage: “All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players; they have their exits and their entrances, and one man in his time plays many parts.” (As You Like It, Act II, Scene 7). In English, the actor is a player: the one who plays.

Each tradition keeps its own way of saying it, and we respect that. But the intuition returns: to play your part knowing that it is one, without ever taking it lightly.

What we do

Each person is a unique character, with their talents, their shadows, and their life path. Behind each character, a player gradually learns to steer it, connected to the Great Player.

To draw your character, we bring together eight symbolic systems: the etymology of names, numerology, Western astrology, Human Design, Gene Keys, BaZi, Maya astrology, and Vedic astrology. None outweighs the others. What recurs across systems speaks to us more than what a single one asserts.

What we offer you is neither a prediction nor a verdict. It is a mirror, to recognize yourself better, and a map of the game, to choose your moves consciously.

It is only a foundation: exploring who you are is up to you. Notice the trials you go through and what your experience teaches you.

Notice also your patterns and your inner programs. Some have served you and no longer do. Others still serve you and are only waiting to mature. Others lie dormant in you, waiting for you to awaken them.

Two voices

Our books are written in two voices. A human voice designs the method and writes and reviews the reference texts, and our computer assistant (AI), Claude, writes your books from your calculations and this method. We prefer to say so plainly: trust begins with transparency.

This human voice doesn't stop at the book. If you have received the Book of the Character or the Practical User Manual of the Character, we propose a 45-minute meeting, by video call or by phone, with someone from our team. We explore your book together: what speaks to you, what puzzles you, and how to use it in your daily life.

Our dream is to enable everyone who wishes to become a Conscious Player of their own game of Life, so that together we can play the most beautiful version of ourselves.

An invitation

On the pediment of the temple of Apollo at Delphi were carved the words: “Know thyself.” Tradition extended the phrase: “… and you will know the universe and the gods.”

Our books invite you to walk this path, at your own pace and with joy.
